传说，很久以前有一只叫做？年？的怪兽。每到除夕夜都会到村庄里面去祸害百姓，搞的民不聊生。后来有一个老人来到这个小村庄，老人问农民：？听说每到除夕夜，你们这里就会有一只叫'年'的怪兽来捣乱，我是特地赶来处理这件事的。？人们不相信这位老人可以赶走年兽，所以没人理他。到了除夕夜，人们又像往年一样躲了起来，只有那位老人留在村庄里。年兽出来了，老爷爷拿出一副对联贴在村口，又点燃了一挂爆竹，年兽一看，吓得赶忙逃跑。原来，那位老爷爷是神仙，特地来赶跑年兽，保护百姓。另外，老爷爷临走前，还留下三件东西来对付年兽，分别是灯笼、爆竹、对联。从此这件事就被传开了，以后每到除夕夜，人们就在家门口贴上对联，燃放爆竹，从此以后年兽就再也不敢来了。

这个故事是不是很有意思？过年还可以吃年糕，吃饺子，放烟花，还有很多其他的习俗。
